Biomarkers measured on this test

Total Testosterone

Your primary male sex hormone — the driver behind sex drive, muscle mass, bone density, mood and energy. Total testosterone is the headline number, but it only tells the full story alongside free testosterone and SHBG.

Free Testosterone

The small fraction of testosterone not bound to proteins — the only part your cells can actually use. Men with a “normal” total testosterone can still have symptoms if their free testosterone sits low.

PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen)

A protein made by the prostate and the standard screen for prostate health in men. It is also the baseline every man should have on record before starting or adjusting testosterone therapy.

SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globulin)

A liver protein that binds testosterone and holds it out of circulation. SHBG climbs with age and drops with insulin resistance, so it largely decides how much of your testosterone is usable.

Estradiol

Men need estradiol for libido, erectile function and bone strength — your body converts it from your own testosterone. Too much, often driven by excess body fat, is linked to low libido, fatigue and gynecomastia.

LH (Luteinizing Hormone)

The pituitary’s signal telling your testes to produce testosterone. Read next to your testosterone result, LH shows whether a low level is coming from the testes themselves or from the brain signal above them.

Cholesterol Profile

Cholesterol is the raw material your body converts into testosterone, and heart disease remains the leading cause of death in men. Measures Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL and Triglycerides.

Inflammation (HSCRP)

Chronic low-grade inflammation suppresses the brain-to-testes signal that drives testosterone production. HSCRP is the sensitive marker for it, and is independently tied to cardiovascular risk in men.

Average Blood Sugars (HBA1C)

Your average blood sugar across the last two to three months. In men the link runs both ways: low testosterone raises type 2 diabetes risk, and poor glucose control pushes testosterone further down.

GGT (Gamma Glutamyl Transferase)

A liver enzyme and a sensitive marker of oxidative stress and fatty liver. It matters for male hormones because the liver makes SHBG and clears spent hormones — fatty liver is consistently associated with lower testosterone.

Fasting Glucose

Your blood sugar in a fasted state, and an early read on insulin resistance. Rising insulin suppresses both SHBG and testosterone production, which is why blood sugar belongs on a male hormone panel.

Visceral Fat

Deep abdominal fat is hormonally active — it is rich in aromatase, the enzyme that converts your testosterone into estradiol. That drives a cycle where belly fat lowers testosterone, and low testosterone adds more belly fat.

MALE HORMONE HEALTH

How do I know if this test is for me?

This test may be right for you if you’re noticing changes in your energy, sex drive, mood, strength or waistline - or simply want a clear baseline of your hormone and metabolic health.

Low Energy & Libido

You’re tired through the afternoon, foggy, or noticing a drop in sex drive and motivation. Total testosterone, free testosterone and SHBG together show how much usable testosterone your body actually has.

Muscle Down, Waistline Up

You’re training the same but losing strength and gaining weight around the middle. Visceral fat, HBA1C and fasting glucose show whether your metabolism is working against you.

Over 40

Testosterone drifts down from your thirties while prostate and cardiovascular risk climb. PSA, your cholesterol profile and HSCRP cover the three things worth watching closely in midlife.

Proactive Baseline

You want numbers to track rather than a guess. Set a baseline across all 12 markers so you can tell whether a change to training, diet, sleep or treatment is actually working.
