Biomarkers Measured
Total Testosterone

Total Testosterone is a primary sex hormone that plays an important role in sexual and reproductive health, supporting sex drive and fertility, while helping maintain muscle mass, bone strength, mood and energy.

Free Testosterone

The small fraction of testosterone not bound to proteins and free to act on your cells. It's the portion that drives energy, libido, muscle and mood, so it can reveal imbalances a total testosterone result might miss.

SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globulin)

A protein made by the liver that binds sex hormones like testosterone and estradiol, controlling how much is free for your tissues to use. High or low SHBG can explain symptoms even when total hormone levels look normal.

Luteinizing Hormone (LH)

A hormone made by the pituitary gland that signals the reproductive organs. LH triggers ovulation and supports the menstrual cycle, and it also prompts the testes to produce testosterone, making it key to fertility.

PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen)

A protein made by the prostate gland that normally helps liquefy semen. In a healthy prostate, only very small amounts reach the bloodstream, so rising PSA can signal inflammation, enlargement or other prostate changes.

Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH)

A pituitary hormone that plays a central role in sexual development and reproduction. FSH stimulates egg follicles to grow in the ovaries and supports sperm production in the testes, making it a key fertility marker.

Estradiol

The most potent form of estrogen, present in every body. Estradiol supports reproductive health, menstrual cycles and fertility, and also plays a key role in bone density, heart health, mood, brain function and libido.

Prolactin

A hormone made by the pituitary gland, best known for stimulating milk production. In all bodies, elevated levels can suppress LH and FSH, disrupting reproductive hormones, menstrual cycles, sex drive and fertility.

Hematocrit

The percentage of your blood made up of red blood cells, which are produced in the bone marrow and carry oxygen throughout your body. Low levels can point to anemia, while high levels may reflect dehydration or other causes.
